Australiasta on viime vuosina tullut mallikasta hard rockia. Airbournesta Wolfmotheriin, Down under on toimunut laadukkaiden hardrokkarien kasvualustana, jossa perinteet kantavat aina AC/DC:hen ja Rose Tattoohon saakka. Tällä kertaa Outbackilta saapuu Koritni, Lex Koritnin yhtye, eikä pettymystä ole luvassa tälläkään kertaa!

Koritnilla on tekemisessään luja ote ja sen tekeminen kuulostaa klassiselta rockilta, johon on nakattu rippunen Southern rockia kyytipojaksi. Bändi on uusi, mutta saanee hardrokkarit tyytyväiseksi, olipa makusi sitten Bryan Adamsiin, Nickelbackiin tai Black Stone Cherryyn päin kallellaan. Oma kappalesuosikkini on ilmiömäinen TV's Just a Medium, jossa vierailee Jeff Waters, Annihilatorin kitaristi. Toinen nappibiisi on Let's Go Crazy, jossa on mahtavan positiivinen ja valoisa meno. Eipä koko levyn mitassakaan huonoja biisejä ole, joten veikkaan, että Koritnista kuullaan vielä isomminkin, vaikkapa sitten Hellfestissä 2012, jossa yhtye esiintyy.

Welcome to the Crossroads on ilman muuta rahojesi arvoista hard rockia.

Australia has been shipping out some mighty fine hard rock in recent years. From Airbourne to Wolfmother, the Land Down Under has been a breeding ground for quality hard rockers, going all the way back to AC/DC and Rose Tattoo. Now, the Outback breeds Koritni, Lex Koritni's band, and let me assure you that these chaps do not disappoint!

With classic rock overtones and even some Southern vibes thrown in, Koritni has a strong hold on their piece of business. For any fans of bands from Bryan Adams to Nickelback to Black Stone Cherry, this newcomer will satiate even the meanest hard rock hunger. One of my favorites is the Jeff Waters (Annihilator guitarist) guested TV's Just a Medium, which is just stellar on every level. Let's Go Crazy is another standout track, with a tremendous, positive, upbeat vibe. Really, there are no bad tracks on this outing, and I would expect Koritni to make a huge impact, perhaps as early as the huge Hellfest 2012 in France, which they are playing at.

Welcome to the Crossroads is solid hard rock for your paying coin and bank note.
