Brittiläistä Black Spidersia on vaikea heittää mihinkään tiettyyn lokeroon. Kenties bändiä voisikin kutsua lähinnä heavy/hard rockiksi. Musiikki on riffittelevää ja jokseenkin vaihtelevaa. Sinkkubiisi St. Peter ei yllä lähellekään toisen sinkun, Stay Downin tasoa, sillä jälkimmäinen rockaa määrätietoisesti jyräten ensin mainitun armottomasti alleen. Cold Dead Hands on toinen energinen raita, josta löytyy svengiä ja groovea. Meadow on vaihteleva biisi, jossa on kenties himpun verran progressiivisiakin elementtejä. Motörhead-laina No Class ei lipeä kovin kauas alkuperäisestä, vaikka laulajan ääni tekeekin biisistä jossain määrin bändin itsensä kuuloisen. Kicked in the Teeth on levyn parhaita puhtaita rockbiisejä, kenties koko lätyn paras biisi kaiken kaikkiaan.

Albumi tarjoilee aika perusmallin hard rockia kohtuullisella biisinkirjoitustatsilla varustettuna. Hieman käsittämätöntä, muiden biisin varjoon jäävää St. Peteriä lukuun ottamatta kyseessä on ihan kelvollinen levy.

The UK's Black Spiders are a hard band to categorize. I guess you could just call these guys heavy or hard rock. Riff-heavy music it is, and somewhat diverse in approach. Single St. Peter is nowhere near as good as other single Stay Down, which rocks with purpose and steamrolls the somewhat lazy aforementioned track. Cold Dead Hands also follows in the energetic vein, with a good swing and groove to it. Meadow is a rather diverse song, perhaps even a bit progressive to a degree. Motörhead cover No Class doesn't stray too far from the original, although the vocalist's own tone and voice makes it the band's own adaption. Kicked in the Teeth is one of the best pure rock tracks on this album, and that said perhaps the strongest cut of all.

Pretty bare bones hard rock with decent songwriting sensibilities. Aside from St. Peter, which I cannot fathom, as it does not stand up to the strength of the other numbers here, this is a pretty decent album.
