Puolalainen, retrosti stoner/heavy rockinsa käsittävä Leash Eye kuulostaa melko paljon Spice-aikakauden jälkeiseltä Spiritual Beggarsilta. Etenkin vokalisti Sebastian kuulostaa paljon Grand Magusiin nykyään keskittyvältä JB:ltä, joskin hemmon ääni on hieman puhtaampi, eikä ole itse asiassa kaukana nykyisen Beggars-laulajan, Apollo Papathanasion äänestä. Paikoin miehen englannin lausuminen on vähän keskinkertaista tasoa, mutta eipä se kokonaisuutta juuri haittaa. Sanoitukset ovat tosin turhan naiiveja (esim. "the driver's honkin'!"). Musiikoina bändi on loistava, ja myös laulajan äänensävy on hieno.

Biiseissä on hyvää energisyyttä ja boogieta, ja itse asiassa levy rokkaa kovemmin kuin vaikkapa Beggarsien On Fire -albumi. Jämäkkää rockia on siis tarjolla alusta loppuun, ja ainoa kritiikin kohde ovatkin levyn sanoitukset. Paremmilla lyriikoilla tämä bändi saattaisi hyvinkin murtautua heavy rockin raskassarjalaisten joukkoon.

Polish retro rock/stoner rock/heavy rock outfit Leash Eye sound much like the Spiritual Beggars of recent past years post-Spice. Especially vocalist Sebastian sounds much like JB from Grand Magus, only with a clearer voice, with a good dose of current Beggars vocalist Apollo Papathanasio thrown in for good measure. There's a fair bit in the way of so-so English pronunciation here and there, but overall it doesn't really defer from the whole. Some of the lyrics are rather naive (ei. "the driver's honkin'!), a bit too much for their own good. That said, the musicianship is top-notch and the vocal tone of the singer is great.

Good energy and boogie in the songs, and overall better rock spirit than Beggar's album On Fire overall per se. Staunch stock from beginning to end, and my only gripe is the lyrical fare. With better storytelling and prose, this band really could have the wherewithal to break into the heavyweight class of this genre of heavy rock.
