Uudehko Ghoul Patrol -rykmentti soittaa death'n'rollia thrash-vivahteilla, ja vieläpä varsin kyvykästä ja ryysyihin käyvän aggressiivista sellaista. Näppäriä ja tarttuvia riffejä ja rytmejä tarjoava Ghoul Patrol on hyvällä tavalla ruma bändi. Siitä pitävät huolen myös tuplabasarien jyrinä ja ärhäkkä laulu.

Tunnelma vaihtelee siististä fiilistelystä suoraviivaiseen audioväkivaltaan, ja kaiken tämän Ghoul Patrol tekee jo nyt melkoisella auktoriteetilla. Tanakka äänimaailma ja purevat kitarasoundit saavat nämä ghoulit kuulostamaan nimittäin jo debyytillään melkoisilta hirviöiltä. Kun vielä jokaisessa biisissä on omaperäisyyttä, on minun pakko todeta, että kappalenipusta ei löydy heikkoja lenkkejä. Levy säilyttää näin myöskin hienosti tuoreutensa.

Suosittelen sydämellisesti Ghoul Patrolin debyyttiä kaikille thrashista, death'n'rollista ja kenties hiukan jopa Downin sludgehtavasta groovemetallista diggaileville metallipäille.

A fresh, new band out of Finland, Ghoul Patrol is like death'n'roll with thrash mixed in to make for a potent and aggressive punch to the collective face. Clever, catchy riffs and rhythms, Ghoul Patrol is ugly in a good way. Lots of double bass kick and gutteral vocals to boot.

From moody swings and leads right back to full throttle sonic beatdowns, Ghoul Patrol lays some serious smack down on this debut offering. With a thick sound and truly crunchy guitars, the ghouls come off as behemoths and definitely make a notable first impression on their initial offering here. No lemons in the bunch, every song offers something unique and the overall vibe remains fresh from tune to tune.

I highly recommend Ghoul Patrol's debut slab for all metalheads who dig thrash, death'n'roll and even Down-like sludgey groove metal.
