Blaken uusi cover-albumi on pirun kova. Biisivalikoima kattaa niin Black Sabbathin The Wizardin kuin War Pigsinkin, Janis Joplinin More Overin, Jethro Tullin Beggar's Farmin kuin tuntemattomampia paloja Roky Ericksonin Stand for the Fire Demonin tyyliin. Löytyypä levyltä AC/DC:tä, Deep Purplea ja Moody Bluesiakin.

Hyvä, tanakka tuotanto ja muutamaan biisiin tuotu omaleimaisuus (etenkin Sabbath-veisut ovat tosin paljolti alkuperäisten kaltaisia) tekee Shelteristä rokkaavan tuotoksen. Blake-originaali Bloodtrails viimeistelee levyn groovaavalla menolla ja timanttisen kovalla riffittelyllä. Aaro Seppovaara on aina osannut loihtia hyviä riffejä, mikä erottaakin Blaken melko monesta nykypäivän stoner-yrittäjästä.

Kansitaide on ehkä hieman laimea, eikä pakkauskaan häikäise, mikä on levyn tasokkuutta ajatellen harmillinen kauneusvirhe.

Blake's new album full of covers is pretty darn good. From Black Sabbath's The Wizard and War Pigs, to Janis Joplin's Move Over, Jethro Tull's Beggar's Farm, to a lesser-known cut in Stand For The Fire Demon by Roky Erickson to tunes by AC/DC, Deep Purple and the Moody Blues, this album is decent all-around.

Good, solid production and a personal twist to some, but not all of the songs (Sabbath is pretty much just like the original) make Shelter a rocking good time. Original cut Bloodtrails finishes up the album, and it's a grooving rocker at that with a stellar riff. The one thing Aaro Seppovaara has always been able to capitalize on is conjuring up good riffs, which is more than many a contemporary in this stonerish genre.

The cover sleeve art is too bland for it's own good, and the packaging is bare-bones, which is a crime in itself.
