Pohjois-Suomen hard rock -veteraaniryhmä Lambs se vain puksuttaa yhä eteenpäin, ja Short on Leash and Still Running on kelpo esitys tältä kolmikolta. Olen kuulevinani levyn soundissa 90-luvun jälkipuoliskon Entombedia, kun taas laulu kuulostaa The Black Leaguen Taneli Jarvalta.
Second Best tömistelee takuuvarman joskin kliseisen riffin varassa ja saa pään heilumaan. Lätyltä löytyy reilusti energista ja korkeaoktaanista rockia. Settled for a Lifessa ja Peace for the Person, War for the Worldissa on kipakampaa henkeä, sillä niiden tunnelma on kuin suoraan katutappelusta. Lockedissa on siisti poljento ja groovaava riffi ja kappale onkin lätyn parhaita. Valtaosa levyn materiaalista onkin perin laadukasta.
Northern Finland's hard rock veterans Lambs from Tornio keep chugging away, and Short on Leash and Still Running is a solid effort from this trio. I hear a bit of mid-to-latter 1990's Entombed in the sound here, with vocals that vaguely sound like Taneli Jarva from The Black League.
Second Best stomps along with a sure-fire albeit cliche riff that is sure to get your head banging. A lot of high-energy, octane-fueled rock here. Settled for a Life and Peace for the Person, War for the World showcase some of that speedy spirit, like a backdrop to an alley fight. Locked has a cool stomp and groovy riff to it, and stands as one of the best cuts on this album. Overall, I have to say that most all of the songs are pretty good here.
