Heti kärkeen voi todeta, että parhaat vetäisyt kuullaan The Milestonesin, Los Bastardos Finlandesesin ja Havana Blackin suunnalta. Etenkin The Milestonesin Queen To Me-kappale erottuu levyltä edukseen.

Kokoelma tarjoaa laadukasta southern rockia ja on miellyttävä katsaus suomalaiseen osaamiseen tällä musiikin osa-alueella. Groovea, rentoa meininkiä ja ammattimaista otetta löytyykin levyltä kotitarpeiksi. Havana Blackin sulava Vinegar Tear tuntuu hetkittäin melkeinpä lainaavan Deep Purplen Mistreatedin kertosäettä. Melrosen It's In The Bag pistää lantion keinumaan ja jalan vatkaamaan säälimättömällä groovellaan. Rock Cadillacin I Just Can't Keep My Eyes Off You muistuttaa lauluiltaan entistä WWE Intercontinental -mestaria, The Honky Tonk Mania, 80-luvun loppupuolelta.

North Will Rise Againin hinta-laatusuhde tuntuisi siis olevan kohdallaan kaikkia tanakasta southern rockista pitäviä varten. Levyltä löytyy myös sopivasti tyylillistä variaatiota, joten sitä kuunnellessa ei käy aika pitkäksi.

Right off the bat the strongest numbers come from The Milestones, Los Bastardos Finlandeses and Havana Black. In particular, I feel the standout track here is The Milestones' Queen To Me tune.

Solid southern rock for your dollar, and a good look at Finland's aptitude in this area of music. Lots of groove, laid-back spirit and professional aptitude all-around on this comp. Havana Black's smooth Vinegar Tear sounds in part like it has borrowed some from Deep Purple's Mistreated chorus. Melrose's It's In The Bag causes the hips to start shaking and the foot to start tapping with its vicious groovy rhythm. Rock Cadillac's I Just Can't Keep My Eyes Off You sounds like former WWE Intercontinental Champion The Honky Tonk Man from the late 80's is singing.

For anyone who likes solid southern rock, North Will Rise Again is good listening for your buying Euro or Dollar. A nice span of diversity from top to bottom, and you won't get worn out listening to this slab.
