Imperiumi is a web-based media, dedicated fully to heavy music, covering anything from hard rock to extreme metal. We are using all available forms of modern media to deliver you the best possible coverage and fluency in service. In addition to our own "web-tv-broadcast" we serve the metalheads with audio interviews, metal videos, competitions and and other services.

Even though we've just opened our site on August 5th 2002, Imperiumi's free form personnel includes some veterans from the Finnish Metal journalism and music scene. We constantly aim to expand our operation and we will be known as a brand name both for the source of top line information and organizer of metal related events.

On our website you will find news, interviews but also comics, art and columns sent in by our readership. In addition to the weekly metal videos Imperiumi is already a pioneer in Finnish metal Internet-TV. ITV debuted on August 15th with an episode from the biggest annual Finnish Metal festival Tuska and will bring you live performances, interviews and featured other activities from bands on the road and partying! Our message board is already the most active metal forum in Finland and provides a fluent way of exchanging ideas and chit-chat with other Finnish headbangers.

Imperiumi is targeted both to the makers of music and the consumers that are interested in the metal way of life and culture. Every single one of our personnel is dedicated to bring forth and maintain the iron-wrought attitude and force, that is rock'n'roll!

Even though the "Tekijät" (Personnel) department lists the Imperiumi personnel and assistants, Imperiumi has no set "editorship". All material provided by the readership, be it interviews, photos, columns or e.g. comics, will be published once it has passed the gruelling test of the ones in charge of Imperiumi. Heavy metal is our common cause. Everyone can learn to write, especially with a little guidance. Dedication to metal can't be learnt - it comes from within. Imperiumi belongs to everyone with a metal heart.
